12 Ways To Detoxify Your Body Naturally
Getting rid of toxins out of your body can be a really effective way to shift your body back towards health.
So today I want to share with you 12 ways that you can start getting rid of those toxins out of your body quickly and efficiently.

Removing Toxins From Your Body
So I’ve talked about the importance of detoxification before, when I explained my model for healing, called the “Four Pathways To Healing“.
And today I want to focus specifically on ways to get rid of toxins out of your body.
Number 1 – Drink lots of water
I’ve talked about the importance of drinking lots of water previously, and the science is there to back it up.
And when you drink lots of water, your body can flush toxins out, it can metabolise in the way that it needs to, and it supports your body in doing everything it needs to do to get rid of those toxins out of your body.
Number 2 – Start your day with a glass of lemon water
Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a glass, fill the rest with water and drink that down.
That lemon water jump starts your digestion and helps your body flush out all of the toxins and the rubbish it’s been processing overnight.
So it’s a great way to start your day on the right foot.
Number 3 – Eat lots of fibre
Fibre helps your body move things through your digestive system as quickly as possible.
There are plenty of foods with high levels of fibre, including things like beans and legumes, whole grains, broccoli, berries, apples, avocado, carrots, nuts and seeds, and especially flax seeds are high in fibre.
Number 4 – Eat foods that speed up detoxification
Things like chlorella, garlic and ginger, broccoli sprouts, kale, leafy greens of all types, especially coriander, or cilantro, can really help to speed up the detoxification process in your body.
Number 5 – Support the liver
The liver is the primary organ of detoxification in your body, so give it what it needs to do its job most effectively.
Things like milk thistle, dandelion, burdock root, stinging nettle and turmeric can all help to boost the liver’s capacity to detoxify your body.
Number 6 – Dry brush your skin
Doing this stimulates both circulation and your lymphatic system, and it also helps to remove toxins by brushing off old skin.
So it’s a great way to get your body working effectively to remove toxins.
Number 7 – Take a salt bath
Specifically, an Epsom salt bath.
Epsom salts seem to open up your pores and draw toxins out of your skin, so they’re a great way to detoxify.
And as a bonus, they also help you to relax.
Number 8 – Breathe deeply
Breathing deeply stimulates your lymphatic system, gets your circulation working better, gets oxygen to all parts of your body, and it moves your muscles, all of which help with detoxification.
Number 9 – Move your body
Exercise in whatever form you can do it, is fantastic, because again, it stimulates your lymphatic system, gets your circulation moving, which speeds up detoxification.
And it may also help you to sweat, which can also help with toxin removal.
Rebounding is one fantastic exercise for removing toxins from your body.
Number 10 – Sweat it out
Research shows that sweat does actually contain some heavy metals and other toxins that your body is trying to get rid of.
So when your other systems are overloaded, sweating is a great way to get toxins out.
Whether that’s through exercise or through sweating it out in a sauna.
Number 11 – Get a massage
Specifically a lymphatic massage, because again, the lymphatic system is such an important part of detoxification.
And getting a massage moves that lymph along faster and gets those toxins out of your body as quickly as possible.
Number 12 – Consider trying acupuncture
Whether you’ve tried it or not before, acupuncture can be a fantastic way to get your organs working more effectively and everything flowing better through your body.
And you may find it very effective at getting toxins out of your body, so it’s definitely worth a go.
Some important tips
So there’s a couple of things I want to say about all of these suggestions.
Don’t over do it
Firstly, don’t over do it.
If you make all of these changes at once you might overwhelm your body with the rate of detoxification.
So take it gently, and stop and have breaks if you need to, to get through that detoxification process.
Make them everyday habits
Secondly, don’t think of these as things to do now and then when you want to “do a detox”.
Try and see them as things to make part of your daily routine.
To make them a habit in your everyday life, so that you’re always doing what you can to support your body to remove toxins all the time.
